Welcome home, at Berghotel Amersfoort. This 4-star hotel located in a beautiful green area on the Amersfoortse Berg is the perfect operating base for a warm and comfortable stay.
The Berghotel is a cosy living room with a rich history. Since 1903 the Berghotel has been a wonderful location, located on the highest point of the Amersfoortse Berg in the impressive forest area of Klein Zwitserland, on the other side of the Utrechtseweg. Together with the monumental garden and the sun terrace, you will enjoy a relaxing environment, that is still close to the city.

The Tower of our Lady, also known as “Lange Jan” is well-known. This tower forms the cadastral center of the Netherlands, literally in the heart of the Netherlands. Opposite the hotel is a part of the Amersfoortse Bos called “Klein Zwitserland”, suitable for a small walk and also a nice running route. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, you can enjoy beautiful cycling routes. You can bring your own bike, but the Berghotel also rents bikes. A large number of cycling routes is available at the reception. The hotel also offers a charging point for E-bikes. At night, you can also park your bike in a guarded bike shed.
Relax in our comfortable hotel rooms. There is also a disabled room available. Enjoy the special services and facilities our team offers. The hotel has a fitness room, open from 7.00 am – 11.00 pm. The nearest bus station is located at approx. 250m from our hotel. From the hotel you can, for example make a nice day trip to Amersfoort Zoo.

In our brasserie and on our terrace you will enjoy the service of our hosts. In our cosy living room you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with homemade apple pie. Our chef and his team like to surprise you with culinary highlights.
