Waldhotel Friedrichroda is situated in the small city Friedrichroda in the Thüringer Forest, on the edge of the forest near Germany’s oldest and most famous and popular footpath the Rennsteig. This footpath crosses the nature park from the northwest to the southeast. The cosy 3-star hotel is centrally situated in the well-known holiday destination, Thüringer Forest. The landscape is characterized by extensive fir woods, flowering mountain slopes and dreamy villages. In this area you will find numerous footpaths.

In Winter there is enough snow for winter sports activities. The hotel is situated at only 300 mtr from the ski runs. The Thüringer Forest has more than 30 ski runs and ski lifts and offers long ski cross-country runs.

Waldhotel Friedrichroda offers amongst others a garden, a terrace, a sauna and 2 restaurants. Restaurant ‘Parckblick’ with view of the park serves a lovely breakfast buffet. Restaurant ‘Flair’ with varying kitchen serves lunch and dinner. The comfortably furnished rooms have a bathroom with bath or shower and toilet, a telephone, radio and satellite TV.
